She’s worked across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia & the USA, in a wide range of industries from airlines to investment banking. Vanessa returned to the UK in 2015 and jumped into hard core retail with Argos and is now with Marks & Spencer. Vanessa feels retail is one of the most exciting spaces to be in for digital – it is so fast, so responsive, so competitive, that every day there’s something new. You can’t just be a designer, you have to be a persuasive seller, advocate your brand correctly and be a multi-tentacled-tech-aware-multi-tasker to cover everything from stores to wearables.

Marta is passionate about product discovery and solving real customer problems through machine learning. At Zalando, she's built a completely new product called the Algorithmic Fashion Companion. Before joining Zalando, she worked in various tech startups and at Microsoft.
Vilma is helping people express themselves better, especially through cracking online personalisation! Before Zalando, she worked for US startups Grooveshark (backed by Intel) and Moveline (backed by Techstars), and then moved into the agency world designing for clients such as LG Electronics' Smart TV and Disney.

Sabrina Wright

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION LEAD (RETAIL & CONSUMER) - MICROSOFT

Yatty advises retailers on how to adapt to the digital era in which we live. He collaborates with organisations to redefine customer and employee experiences, and transform their operations and products using technology, the aim of which is to make a seismic shift in experience and performance. His interests are in artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven enterprises and augmented/virtual reality and applying these to make measurable business impact. Yatty’s recent work includes leading projects to help a leading retailer to use chatbots with AI to engage customers and optimise their operations; to use augmented reality in an experiential marketing campaign to help a travel company build loyalty; and to use AI and machine learning to provide insights on retail store and supply-chain performance.

Steve Spyrou

UX MANAGER - JOHN LEWIS

Steve is helping develop test and learn thinking (that has persisted in digital for a long time) at an organisational level. He has also designed the components for the componentization of the John Lewis and Sky.com sites, in order to create a consistent customer experience and drive production efficiencies. Steve’s current passion is creating ways to facilitate leadership level workshops, in order to push things forward and not just create circular debates.
